before my blog gets smothered by the layers and layers of mould accumulated over the past 1-2 months, i'm back for an update. seriously, my interest towards blogging is heading towards the exit sign.

so many things (both good and bad) had happened lately that i dont know where to begin. well. i guess shit just happens so lets not get there..

this is my first entry of the year, which means, wow 2007 is what, over again?!?! that's pretty fast.. i had little drama during year 2007. everything was pretty smooth sailing, and for that i am definitely not complaining. and jan marks the 5th month of my r/s, and that means almost 1/2 a year.

i told joel i was bored of our usual meet and bum in town routine. so, i suggested for a stay-in saturday and did baking for a change! and just like any other boys, he wasn't very into the idea intially but i managed to convince him. and true enough, we had sooooo much fun in the kitchen that day!!

fussy me took forever to decide on a recipe!! and we decided on oreo cupcakes :D made our way to the neighbourhood to get our ingredients right after lunch. and it was time to get the hands dirtied...

but what is oreo cupcakes when theres no oreo added into it? joel did the pounding and crushing of oreo cookies...

so while the cuplets headed to meet the heat, i made the frosting by combining icing sugar and butter together. i know it looks a lil gross but photo just doesn't do my frosting justice la! lol

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

joel's sister & her bf said it's good. joel's dad said it's tastes good. joel's mom gave thumbs up. my dad said it tastes great except the frosting is a lil too sweet. we didn't do many so it was snapped up pretty fast...

THEN the most dreadful part came. cleaning up ): ok but i think joel washed like 3/5 of the mess we created :

we ended the night by me taking a shower, and him sinking into bed for his daily reading.. then it was a car ride home! yup, thats my 5th month celebration. pretty simple but damn fulfilling (:

ok it's getting late i'm off to bed before the eyebags set in! in the meantime, i hope everyone is having a great new year so far (: everyone shld be busy spring cleaning for CNY, looking forward to the yummies and red packets. urm and i'm one of them.. have a happening CNY everybody!
