red star dimsum restaurant with the classmates on the 17th nov

my long awaited dimsum craving was finally satiated

pretty sleepy due to the lack of sleep the previous night ):

dimsum there is not too bad. my parents recommended me to go there. we didnt arrive very early so the variety was pretty limited and everything was snapped up. nevertheless, it was a good catching up session for the girls.. i believe the outing called to celebrate my birthday was just an excuse to meet up lol!

caught the movie 'enchanted' with joel over the weekend and i love love love it. disney is creative enough to come up with such an idea of fairytale meeting realism. quite a predictable storyline but found the whole message of the story pretty thought provoking.

soo thursday came and i finally met GOH for our starbucks lepak session. she had been craving for donuts so we followed the crowd and squeezed into the donut factory queue at suntec, which didnt take us long. finally settled down for iced earl grey at millenia walk and we received a phonecall for a last minute events job! ka ching ka ching!

met the boys - alwin, dick, sammo later for dinner. they are such an indecisive bunch. walked round the whole of raffles city before we decided to go thai express. havent seen dick in forever ever since he returned from australia. the boys were drooling over the box of donuts i clutched in between my fingers and then sammo suggested getting some... insisting that donut factory is overrated and we have to get our hands laid on munchy donuts instead. so the final verdict was. yeah, donuts factory is way overrated. munchy donuts produces softer donuts and a wider array of flavors which are more likely to entice your tastebuds!

the donut war

couldnt join the boys for sheesha due to work the following day..
work was fun, we spent a lot of time goofing with the malaysian contractor and it was just hilarious. we pulled numerous pranks lol and the germans love us i swear!

JB KIA. he is an asshole.

so anyways, ms Goh and i had truckloads of freetime so we usually opened the fridge and looked through what we could play with. we found too many cans of beer so we used it for guessing game. ms. Goh sucked at this game, totally. out of 4 rounds she could lose like all 3 rounds. but i was quite a sore loser when the forfeit changed to pickles. i refused to swallow it..

weekend was the best. went for dinner with joel's family and his in laws (to be) at this fine dining australian restaurant called Whitebait and Kale located at one orchard boulevard, camden medical centre. i didnt bring my camera, hence i just took the pics straight from the restaurant website. seems like a place is catered to expats. prices for each dishes are pretty steep.

interior was impressive, with a mirror plastered on the ceiling to show how the chef prepare all the food. they even had a free wine appreciation session so it made joel's dad go ga-ga all over it. i think their baked snapper pie and lemongrass creme brulee are OWNAGE. baked snapper pie comes with generous amount of snapper chunks, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes stuffed in the crispy pastry! *drools*

sunday was our usual day to bum in town or just catch a movie. we made our way to ikea @ Queensway cos we wanted to look at some furniture.. so here are some pics

made our way to marina to catch The Tattooist. swear we're becoming movie buffs. anyway, i loved the weekend.

highlight of this week. jenn is finally returning from Shanghai, reunion baby!
